Farmers Market Season Opener
Tis the season for fresh fruits, veggies and hand crafted goodies! The #1 Farmers Market in Texas is officially open on April 7 for the season! Come out between 8 a.m and 1 p.m. for giveaways, live entertainment and locally grown fruits and vegetables!

There is More Tour – Featuring Hillsong Worship and Brian Houston
Catch Hillsong Worship and Brian Houston at the Verizon Theatre on April 7. Doors open at 6 pm and the show starts at 7 pm. Buy tickets online at www.axs.com.

Texas Concert with Jamie Richards
Traders Village and Radio Free Texas present Jamie Richards in concert on Saturday, April 7th.  Always a traditionalist, Richards’ newest effort, latest and greatest, is a compilation of songs old and new.

Jean-Michel Jarre

Big Mamou Cajun Festival
A pinch of Zydeco, a bit of swamp pop and a whole lot of Cajun music, and you’ve got the ingredients for…The Big Mamou Cajun Festival at Traders Village. Get ready to party hearty, creole-style, as the Annual Cajun Festival cooks up big fun this April 14-15.

Trashy Art & Fashion Show
Ripley’s Believe It or Not! Grand Prairie invites you to the Trashy Art & Fashion Show on April 14 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., where contestants design creative wearable designs made from trash or recycled materials. Winners will receive cash prizes and other exciting prizes and features.

April 20 – 22, 2018

Thoroughbred Racing Opening Day
A good time you can bet on! The horses are back April 19 and there is live racing every weekend until July 22. Make sure to come out on special days such as, Party at the Park, Dollar Day, Family Discount Day and Extreme Racing. Dates can be found at lonestarpark.com

Main Street Fest
The City of Grand Prairie Parks, Arts & Recreation Department is hosting the 7th Annual Main Street Fest. The 3-day event is scheduled for Friday through Sunday, April 20 – 22 on the 200 block of W. Main St. and surrounding areas. The festival, with FREE parking and admission, will celebrate the fun, festive, family atmosphere that is Grand Prairie with live music from Josh Turner, Wade Bowen and more. Throughout the event enjoy a variety of Novelty Entertainment, more than 14 carnival rides, arts & crafts vendors, business expo vendors, 4 entertainment stages, plenty of food & beer gardens, a KIDZONE and plenty of FUN for all!

Downtown Pop-Up Park
Come visit the Downtown “Pop-Up” Park when you attend Main Street Fest on April 20-22! If you love games like Jenga and Cornhole, this is the place for you! Compete against your family and friends with some fun games, relax in the park and try some delicious food.Find it next to the old Firehouse at 321 W. Main St. – right across the street from Main Street Fest!

Big Mamou Cajun Festival
Returning for another weekend with a pinch of Zydeco, a bit of swamp pop and a whole lot of Cajun music, and you’ve got the ingredients for…The Big Mamou Cajun Festival at Traders Village in Grand Prairie. April 27 – 29, 2018

Gospel Music Celebration
Traders Village and contemporary gospel station KHVN 970 AM will present a celebration of gospel music on Saturday, April 28th. Starting at 1pm in the Big Red Patio visitors will be able to enjoy a variety of gospel music entertainers. Be sure to come out and enjoy this a great line up of gospel entertainers.

Farmers Market: Superhero Day
The Farmers Market sells fresh fruits and vegetables as well as spices, candles, soaps, coffee, honey and an array of other items at Market Square in addition to monthly special events such as Superhero Day happening this April 28. Kids in costumes get a prize!

Live Thoroughbred Racing
A good time you can bet on! The horses are racing April 27-29 and there is live racing every weekend until July 22. April 28 – 29 is Lone Star Park’s Extreme Racing! Come out and see the zebras, ostriches and camels hit the track between live horse races! lonestarpark.com
