What’s Happening this November in Grand Prairie

It’s November, which means Thanksgiving is right around the corner and so is Christmas! We’ve got tons of holiday fun lined up for you the whole month of November.

November 2 – 4, 2017

Quarter Horse Racing
It’s the second to last weekend of quarter horse season and the horses won’t be back for Thoroughbred racing until April! Don’t miss out on all the fun. Races are Friday & Saturday starting at 6:05 pm.

Legends of Hip Hop
Come to see the Legends of Hip Hop, Juvenile, Scarface, 8ball & MJG, Too $hort, DJ Quick Burn and Bun B on November 2 at The Theatre at Grand Prairie at 8 pm.

Comic Con
Cosplay characters get ready and to join Traders Village on November 3 – 4 for special guests, trade show booths, food, fun and more!

Farmers Market

Jack FM’s Retroplex Best in Show Rick Springfield

The Letterman
The Uptown will celebrate its’ 10th Anniversary with the iconic Lettermen on November 9 at the Uptown Theater. The Lettermen’s trademark is close-harmony pop songs with light arrangements. The group started in 1959. They are the soundtrack for many of our life’s memories.

Veteran’s Day Bash
Traders Village will honor veterans on Saturday, November 10, with an afternoon of activities, displays, and a free concert by “America’s Most Patriotic Rock Band,” Madison Rising.

Farmers Market: Marine Corp’s 243rd Birthday!
It’s the Marine Corp’s 243rd birthday! We want to say thanks and happy birthday to all of our Marines and their connections. While we are at it, we want to say thank you to ALL of our veterans in the community! We would like to invite all of our local veterans to come out to the Grand Prairie Farmers Market on Saturday, Nov. 10, starting at 8 a.m. and we will give you a thank you gift. Just a small token to show our appreciation!

November 16 – 18, 2017

My Spiritual Boot Camp Conference 11 speakers and presenters take the stage with shattering stories and testimonies inviting others to live an enhanced spiritual life on November 16 at the Uptown Theater.

Crab Fest
Come out on November 17 – 18 and enjoy an afternoon of great food and music at Traders Village. Enjoy boiled Snow Crab Legs served with spicy corn and potatoes plus coleslaw and macaroni salad and more!

Farmers Market: Pre-Turkey Day Market Fun
Make sure you get all your Turkey Day needs at the Farmers Market on November 18! The Grand Prairie Farmers Market is open 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays from April through mid-December and features locally grown fruits and vegetables, baked goods, salsas, eggs, honey, plants, soaps, candles and more.

Joe Bonamassa
Grammy-nominated blues-rock guitar icon Joe Bonamassa returns to the stage on November 17 at the Theatre at Grand Prairie. Doors open at 7 pm and the show starts at 8 pm. Buy tickets online at www.axs.com.

November 23 – 25, 2017

Prairie Lights 
The region’s biggest holiday lights tradition! Drive-through more than 5 million lights along the shores of beautiful Lynn Creek Park on Joe Pool Lake. Visitors will be amazed by the world’s longest light tunnel and the Holiday Village out-of-car experiences that will make this Christmas season one to remember! Prairie Lights runs from November 22 – December 30. 

Rock of Ages
Broadway’s best party is turning up the volume to ten! The Rock of Ages Tenth Anniversary Tour is coming to The Theatre at Grand Prairie on November 23 – 24. Friday the show starts at 8 pm and Saturday shows start at 1 pm and 8 pm. Buy tickets online at www.axs.com.

Holiday Market with Santa
Santa is at Traders Village every Saturday and Sunday through November 24 to December 23. Kids of all ages can have their photo taken with Santa. Donations for photos go to the Grand Prairie Chamber of Commerce. Get into the spirit of Christmas with thousands of dealers who are selling holiday gifts and more for all tastes and budgets.

Farmers Market is closed for Thanksgiving on November 24.
