If you’re a music or theater lover you’re in luck! Grand Prairie has a handful of different venues to catch a show. Head out to The Theatre at Grand Prairie to see anything from TobyMac to Astro to the April Fools Comedy Jam. If you’re more into theater see Mamma Mia! at the Historic Uptown Theater (March 22-31). If you’re a fan of country music The GrandLawn at Epic Central is hosting a free concert by the King George Band on March 16 at 7 p.m.!

Every now and then we all need some retail therapy and Grand Prairie is definitely a place for that! If you are a bargain shopper head to Traders Village (open on Sat. & Sun. only) where you can shop from over 3,500 vendors. Plus, they always have fun events going on and loads of carnival rides and food! If you like a good deal stop by the Grand Prairie Premium Outlets where you have over 110 stores to shop from and savings from 25% to 65% off! If you need something to document your stay or just looking for something more unique the Trunk Stop Gift Shop at the Tourist Information Center is the place to be! EAT LOCAL

Do as the locals do right? While you are here, you might as well try out some new food! If you’re wanting seafood The Oasis is our floating restaurant on Joe Pool Lake. Enjoy dinner with an amazing view. For Italian head downtown to either Tuscany’s Pasta & Pizza or Roma’s Italian Bistro both located on Main Street. For Asian or Dim Sum The Pearl located inside Asia Times Square is a must! For American try out Radial Cafe located at Grand Prairie’s Municipal Airport.
