Fourth of July is right around the corner and we know you’re looking for ways to celebrate! We’ve got a weekend full of fun with movies on the beach to a huge fireworks show!
Thursday, July 4
It’s fireworks time! Because in Grand Prairie one night of fireworks just isn’t enough. Head over to Lone Star Park for the first night of Lone Stars & Stripes. The gates open at 3 pm and the first live race begins at 5 pm. In addition to fireworks and live racing, there will also be live music and a family fun park!
More of a baseball fan than horse racing? Come out to watch the Texas AirHogs and stay after the game for a watch party of the fireworks. Game starts at 6:05 pm.
Friday, July 5
One day is just not enough! Keeping celebrating 4th of July with the final night of Lone Stars & Stripes at Lone Star Park. Gates open at 3 p.m., and the first live race is at 5 p.m. (fireworks show to follow the last race)
Saturday, July 6
Nothing says summer like an All American Hot Dog Day to help kick off your Fourth of July Weekend! Head out to the Grand Prairie Farmers Market to shop local vendors and enjoy some delicious hot dogs.
After picking up some goodies from the Farmers Market, head to one of our amazing lake parks, Loyd Park or Lynn Creek Park. Both are equipped with great amenities, boat launches, picnic spots, pavilions and more!
Enjoy your afternoon on the lake and grab some lunch or dinner at our floating restaurant, The Oasis. They have live music every weekend at the bar and the patio! After dinner catch Solo- A Stars Wars Story at Loyd Park. Show up early and bring a chair!
Sunday, July 7
Don’t miss out on the all day fun at Traders Village. Experience shopping, live music from El Flaco y sus Milenios Band, carnival rides and more! Grab some yummy carnival foods for lunch!
End the weekend with a night of baseball! Grand Prairie’s very own minor league team, The Texas AirHogs are playing against the Chicago Dogs! Grab some peanuts and Cracker Jacks and cheer on the Hogs! Game starts at 6:05 p.m.
